Ali Tabrizi

Ali Tabrizi is the director of one of Netflix's biggest documentary in 2021, Seaspiracy he also worked alongside Kip Andersen on Cowspiracy in 2014. Ali grew up in the south east of England and at a young age was interested in photojournalism and went on to study it in the London Collage of Communication and then self taught himself film-making skills. After collage he went to work for Netflix's documentary sector and made his first film, Vegan in 2018.

In Seaspiracy he explores the impact humans have on marine life, in the film he again worked alongside film-maker Kip Andersen and also his wife Lucy Tabrizi. This documentary is very much an Expository and Participatory documentary style, with Ali being in many of the shots and also the exposure of fishing and other marine life impacts.

Seaspiracy had a lot of conflicted audiences when it was released but this brought viewership up as audiences wanted to see what was being talked about, with Ali bringing light to a lot of industries like the shark finning trade and mass trawling from China and even the accusations of slavery and corruption within the fishing industry.
